The Sonora

Work on the Sonora begins…
April 2022
This is the start of The Sonora trailer in late March 2022. It will be the base for this new project.
The next step in the process is the floor installation.
April 2022
This is one of the side walls. The other wall is nearly ready to be assembled.
With the walls in place along with framing, insulation installation can begin.
The second wall gets its insulation installed.
May 2022
Installing the insulation continues before covering the frame with outer siding. Interior siding is already installed.
June 2022
The outer part of the camper now has many layers of fiberglass. The floor is all white from all the sanding between each layer.
July 2022
Sanding the Outside
Front right view. Camper is now primered. It just needs a final coat of primer.
The sanding process gets the outside of the camper very smooth.

Building the couch/full-sized bed
John completed various projects over the winter and so this one had to wait a little while. Work resumed in March 2023.
The bed can act like a couch and place to sit on, or a twin-sized bed.
Individual pieces of wood work together to pull the bed into a full-sized version.
